Abstract

The quality of a school’s environment is deeply influenced by the relationship between school leaders and teachers, particularly in the public school system. Servant leadership, where school heads prioritize the growth and well-being of teachers over traditional authority, has become a transformative approach to school governance. By emphasizing empowerment, humility, and authenticity, leaders foster a culture that supports academic excellence while enhancing teachers’ professional and personal fulfillment. This study examines the influence of servant leadership on teachers’ job satisfaction and whether a strong commitment to service can address workplace challenges and promote a more motivated and stable teaching workforce. Findings reveal that school heads consistently demonstrate high levels of servant leadership characterized by altruism, humility, and empowerment, while teachers report very high job satisfaction across all areas. However, improvements are needed in physical working conditions, equitable workload distribution, and clearer career advancement pathways. Statistical analysis shows no significant differences in perceptions across demographic variables, indicating fair and consistent leadership practices. Overall, the study confirms a strong positive relationship between servant leadership and teacher job satisfaction, highlighting that leaders who prioritize support and ethical conduct contribute to a more positive and harmonious school environment.
